-
Assess Movement
Weāll discuss any issues you may have and assess your range and quality of movement. This will highlight any compensation patterns and how I can best help you.
-
Soft Tissue Therapy
With over 18 years of experience I have a wide range of Sports Massage & Soft Tissue techniques that I use to reduce myofascial stiffness, creating more pliable, adaptable and healthy tissues.
-
Stretch & Mobilise
I use Fascial Stretch Therapy to improve your range and quality of movement. This is done by mobilising and stretching the dense connective tissue of joint capsule and associated soft tissues.
-
Integration & Exercise
The results from our treatment will be best maintained if we strengthen key movement patterns, these will be exercises you can also do at home.
Assess Movement
The Ready State - Certified Movement & Mobility Specialist
To start our session weāll discuss your goals for the session and assess any areas of discomfort and/or restriction. This allows me to pin point any movement restrictions and identify compensation patterns. This can be done through movement, exercise or more specific assessments on the treatment table. From here Iāll tailor my methods and techniques to you and your preferences, the process typically involves a series of steps: We will Mobilise & Stretch the associated joints and soft tissue, then address any muscular stiffness and sliding issues using Soft Tissue Therapy before finishing with Integration & Exercise to maintain the work we have done and strengthen key movement patterns. Iāll break down each segment below in a little more detailā¦
Soft Tissue Therapy
Anatomy Trains Advanced Structural Integration (ATSI.Adv)
Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy
Hypervolt, Cupping, Voodoo Flossing & Tools
For this segment we focus on enhancing the quality of your myofascial tissues (muscles and surrounding fascia). The methods, techniques and tools I use will help to alleviate muscular stiffness and increases the ability of your muscles and fascia to slide upon each other. In turn this creates a more healthy, pliable and elastic tissue that can better adapt to the demands you place upon them. If you have any specific areas of soft tissue pain/tightness caused by trigger points, scar tissue or injury we would focus on these here. To get the best results I may also use tools such as Hypervolt, Voodoo Flossing & Cupping to ensure we get the best results.
Mobilise & Stretch
Fascial Stretch Therapy / Fredrick Stretch Therapy (Level 3)
As one of the few certified Fascial Stretch Therapists practicing in the UK Iām delighted be able to bring the benefits of this work to my private clients. This specialised technique that is only taught in US & Canada, uses a strap to secure one leg to the treatment bed, this enables me to traction, manipulate and stretch the other limb into all of its ranges of movement. These techniques that are unique to FST create profound increases in mobility, leaving with you a feeling of lightness, freedom and ease. Whether you're dealing with persistent aches or aiming to enhance your athletic performance, you can benefit from the transformative effects of restoring your movement to a more natural state.
Integration & Exercise
The Ready State - Certified Movement & Mobility Specialist
After the treatment we will carry out the same movements/tests we preformed at the start of the session, this evaluation allows me to gauge the impact of our intervention and track your progress.
To complement the gains achieved during our treatment, it is important to integrate exercises such as isometric/eccentric exercises, yoga, or pilates into your routine. These exercises ensure that you can also do at home will be designed for strengthening key movement patterns and further helping to unwind any patterns of compensation.
